Our Terms of Business.


We realise that you are booking a holiday and don't want to become to embroiled in the "small print", but hope you realise that in order to run an efficient business we do need a few ground rules!  We have tried to keep these to a minimum and hope they will help us both.


Payment.  We ask you to pay 1/3rd of your holiday cost on booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before your holiday begins.  If you book within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday we ask you to pay the full amount on booking.  You can pay by BACS (on-line bank transfer), by cheque, or we can accept PayPal.  Regrettably we cannot accept payment directly by card.


Sorry, no pets or smokers.  We aim to provide you with a clean, fresh and airy holiday let and it is difficult to do this if pets or smokers have been in the house the previous week. 


Sorry, no fireworks.  There are livestock in surrounding fields and pets in neighbouring houses.  We ask you to respect this and the neighbouring wildlife.


Your responsibility during your stay.  We expect you to be responsible for normal, everyday cleaning and for keeping the property in an orderly fashion.  On vacation, we ask you to leave the property in the condition it was in when you entered.  Liability for damage done to the property or equipment, or for excessive extra cleaning necessary on vacation will be the responsibility of the person who makes the booking.  The property is in a small peaceful village.  Whilst we wish you to enjoy your stay, we ask you to show respect and thought to other villagers.


Security deposit.  A security deposit of £75 will be added to each booking and payable at the time of the balance payment.  This is to cover any minor damage to the property or extra cleaning necessary on vacation.  Subject to any deductions, this will be returned within 10 days of the end date of your holiday.


Complaints.  Under no circumstances will any compensation be made for complaints raised after the holiday has ended, if the visitor has denied us the opportunity of investigating the complaint and rectifying any issue during the course of the holiday.
